KNIVES SELF-DEFENCE

Defending Against a Knife Attack

What is important for self defense is your ability to defend against an attacker with a knife. The most reliable way to do that without a weapon is to get control of the attacker’s limb with both hands.

4 tips might help you defend yourself long enough to escape!!

  • Stay in distance is your best ally against any contact weapon, Run if you can.
  • Place barriers between you and the attacker. A barrier is anything your threat has to avoid or move around to get to you.
  • If contact is made, do your best to protect your vital organs and arteries. Keep your hands up and guard your center-line,
  • Stay in the fight. There’s a good chance you’ll get cut; don’t focus on it. No matter what, fight through to the end.
