ABOUT MMA INSTRUCTOR
All the instructors have completed Child Protection and Safeguarding Training and hold a current DBS clearance. First aid trained and insured under the World Association of Kickboxing.
The MMA Academy exists to promote self-progression and personal achievement at a pace that is suitable to the individual. Our team of highly qualified instructors is dedicated to provide all students with a safe and constructive environment in which to develop your skills.
As members of MMA we will aim to offer the highest possible level of instruction to every one of our students. We set out to make our training programmed beneficial to the physical and psychological wellbeing of our students and enjoyable to each and every member. We encourage and prepare our students so that they may reach their full potential in the discipline. To increase the community’s awareness of MMA and to teach in a supportive, yet effective manner.
MMA CLASSES STRUCTURES
Classes are typically around two hours long, and are usually of mixed ability, and sexes. They begin with a warm up, which will include various cardiovascular exercises, followed by specific stretching and body conditioning.
Training then moves onto learning MMA skills. Being a broad based style we incorporate a variety of different methods. Our instructors will teach specific things which are relevant to the class. This could be paired pad work drills, learning how to use of the Maiwand weapons, or even basic and advance locks and throws techniques.
Our training is done in a way that each class provides a steady and continuous progression to help students master the basics of a technique then learn to add other dynamics such as footwork, Kickboxing,Sparring or additional techniques.
